Small Business Profile: Extended Family Services Inc.

This is how we met Rod DeVries and Anne-Marie Sorenson, owners of Extended Family Services Inc. They have watched their business grow exponentially in the past few years. Extended Family Services Inc. is a local business that provides services that give support to enable loved ones to live independently for as long as possible.  Opening in 2013 their staff and business has increased steadily with offices now in Brooks and Medicine Hat.

Extended Family Services provides services for companion support, in-home care, assisted care facility support, temporary/short term services and support for self/guardian managed care (upon approval). They offer services that assist with bettering quality of life for those with disabilities including help with appointments, light housekeeping, meal preparation and more.

When asked why they chose this space Rod said that Medicine Hat Storage offers high quality office space that is conveniently located, easy to find and as a business easy to grow into. Starting with one office they have now expanded to three offices and a reception area.

It is a pleasure to know Rod, Anne-Marie and the rest of the staff at Extended Family Services Inc. They are very friendly and always have a smile on their faces. We asked Rod where he sees Extended Family Services Inc. going he said that they’ve only just begun and are thrilled to see their business expand.
