On The Road Again: Don’t Forget Your Emergency Kit!

Whether you’re going on a road trip, camping or sending your children off to college you should make sure that you or they have an emergency kit for those unforeseen circumstances. To make this task easier we’ve put together a list of items to help you put your kit together.

  • Cell Phone/Charger
  • Flashlights/Extra Batteries
  • First Aid Kit
  • Road Flares
  • Jumper Cables
  • Vest- High Visibility
  • Blanket
    • Particularly for those cold Winter months
  • Kitty Litter or Sand
    • Great for Winter in case you get stuck
  • Water
    • 2L per person per day is best
    • Use small bottles so they’re easy to carry
  • Extra Food
    • Energy bars, canned food {non-perishable} and/or granola bars
    • Don’t forget a can opener!
  • Pylons
    • You can even get pop-up road cones at your local Safety stores or Canadian Tire.
  • Basic Toolkit
  • Spare Tire and Jack
  • Small Pocket Knife
  • Water Proof Matches
